Theme: Career Talk by young PhD researchers from abroad
 

The first TSS in the second half of FY2015 features two young Ph.D. researchers from abroad. The first presentation is by Hokudai alumni who is just graduated from faculty of engineering. You will hear his experience in the job hunting in Japan. The second speaker is a Ph.D. on electronic information processing from the University of Tokyo. Her story on series of experience in the industry and academia, including research laboratory of major US corporation and various post-doc posts in the Japanese research institutions and universities will include a lot of excitement and critical decision points where you can learn from her how she had overcome the challenges associated with the changes.

キャリアトーク～日本で働く、海外出身若手博士研究者からのメッセージ
 

2015年度第2学期はじめの移転可能研究力強化セミナーでは、海外からの二人の博士研究者に講演いただきます。ひとりは工学院博士課程を修了したばかりの北大卒業生。日本での就職活動の経験をお話しいただきます。もうひとりは東京大学で電子情報学を専攻、博士号を取得し、企業およびアカデミアでの職歴をお持ちです。中国の企業、日本の大学や研究所、そしてアメリカの企業研究所でさまざまな変化やチャレンジを乗り越えていらっしゃいました。きっとためになるお話を聞けることでしょう。
