Japanese Standard Speaking Test (JSST) is the examination you can take by telephone. This will help you assess your Japanese speaking level.

I-HoP supports students/researcher in improving Japanese language skills.  Take Japanese Standard Speaking Test (JSST). It's on us.

Test is done by telephone. It's a good opportunity to check your speaking level and it will motivate you to study further.

I-HoP will sponsor this JSST four times a year (Nov, Feb, May and Aug). We recommend you take JSST "before" and "after" your planned Japanese e-learning which may take a few month to complete.

■　How to take the JSST Examination

You can take the exam whenever, from wherever by telephone.

There will be ten questions. Recorded voice will read a question. The time allotted for responding is 45-60 seconds.

The examination will take about 12 minutes.

You will receive score report after the examination. You will be assessed from Level 1 to 10.

You can write your JSST level on your resume.

Hokkaido University Master Course, Doctor Course students and Postdocs whose native language is NOT Japanese

Free (regular price is \5500)

※ Minimum number of participants required

More than 5 participants have to apply.

If number of participants does not reach 5, this examination will not be conducted with the support of I-HoP.

JＳＳＴとは、電話で手軽に受験できる日本語の会話力テストです。 手軽に日本語の運用能力を測れます。

I-HoPでは日本語会話テスト(JSST)の受験をサポートします。

手軽に電話で受けられるテストを利用してレベルを確認し、これからの勉強に役立てよう。

I-HoPはJSST受験を年4回(11月、2月、5月、8月)サポートします。数ヶ月かかる日本語e-ラーニング学習の"前"と"後"に受験することをおすすめします。

■　テスト形式

いつでも、どこからでも電話で受験できます。

質問は全部で10問。自動音声で出題され、45秒～60秒の間に回答します。

所用時間は約12分。

評価レベルは1～10の10段階。スコアレポートが送付されます。

評価レベルは履歴書にも記載できます。

■　How to apply You need to be registered in Hi-System. If you are not, please go to the Front Office for Human Resource Education and Development homepage and register in Hi-System. Click "申し込む" and login to Hi-System. Your registration will be completed as soon as you login.
