【CEED】Notification of Change of Lecturers for Advanced Lectures on Science and Technology Policy ( 2013/04/17 )

 The lecturers in charge of the Advanced Lectures on Science and Technology Policy class scheduled for July 5 and 26 have been changed. In this new course, experts from various areas of the government will be invited to deepen your understanding of how science and technology held to solve social problems.

【Tenure-Track System】Job Openings for the Host Department: The Host Department is hiring for the FY 2013 Tenure-Track System Promotion Program and will give a briefing about the program. ( 2013/06/18 )


Along with the implementation of the FY 2013 2nd Tenure-Track International Open Call from August, we are hiring for the Host Department. Please consider how you can make good use of our system. We have openings for candidates to give the “Comprehensive Training” and the Department Training for Female Researchers. Positions for Department Training are not included in the FY 2013 2nd Tenure-Track International Open Call.


【Requirements that Host Department applicants have to meet】
- After completing the Tenure-Track System (generally after 5 years of employment), you are required to take a position as a non-tenured Associate Professor in the Host Department.
(- The tenure-track positions available for those taking Comprehensive Training or Department Training for Female Researches are for associate professor and the tenure-track positions for those taking Department Training are associate professorand lecturer.)
- After you are employed under the Tenure-Track System, the Host Department will recommend a specific person as your advisor who is in charge of supporting you in terms of his/her research and education.


The briefing on the Tenure-Track System will held on the following date. Please join us.

【L-Station】The FY 2013 1st Tenure-Track International Open Call has started (Deadline: Jul. 23, 2013.). ( 2013/05/27 )

L-Station has launched the FY 2013 1st Tenure-Track International Open Call (Deadline: July 23, 2013.).

- Hokkaido University is publicly seeking excellent young researchers for three tenure-track assistant professor positions. Applicants should be qualified to be global leaders for the next generation in the Basic Interdisciplinary Research Areas.
- The tenure-track system screening test of our university will evaluates the candidate's comprehensive abilities as a leader (planning ability, organizational ability, initiative, analytical capability, internationality, etc.) as well as research capability.
- After taking a tenure-track post, he/she will be provided with an autonomous research environment as well as being required to actively participate in leadership training programs.

- Must be proficient in English and be able to give lectures and research guidance in English
