【e-learning】System maintenance / Password change ( 2014/10/22 )

Dear Hi-System / e-learning users

E-learning will become available from outside Hokkaido University LAN network.

1. Password change

For security reasons, each accounts' password will be changed automatically.
We will notify via e-mail regarding this password change.

2. System maintenance

* E-learning will not be available on 27th October, 2014 (Mon) 8:00-24:00
* New registration /questions submitted after 16:00 on 24th October
will be handled on or after 28th October.
* E-learning will bocome avilable from outside Hokkaido University
LAN network on 28th October (tuesday).

* Hokkaido University invites applications for Two Tenure-Track positions at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in October, 2014. We seek accomplished young individuals who can enhance the research capabilities of the university and display extraordinary leadership as new generation of leaders.

* The tenure-track selection process evaluates not only research skills, but also comprehensive abilities as leaders (administration, motivation, planning skills, analytical skills and internationality).

* Successful tenure-track appointees will receive independent research environment and start-up research grants. During the tenure-track period, it is mandatory for appointees to participate in various leader development programs.

【I-HoP】 Introduction of I-HoP, Career Development Support Office for International Researchers, has been posted ( 2014/04/11 )

As of May 1, 2013, number of international researchers at Hokkaido University counts 572 (DC) and 106 (PD) respectively. Front Office for Human Resource Education and Development (FOHRED) has been providing various career development support programs for those who are fluent in Japanese. In response to increasing request for providing similar support programs for researchers taking courses in English, we have launched I-HoP in April.

J-window, career consultation in English is immediately available, and we will translate some critical web pages into English, followed by provision of other needed career development programs in English, one after another.

I-HoP's vision is to empower the Research Capability of Hokkaido University by inviting more talented international researchers which is enabled by provision of various options for their career design.

【FOHRED】 The SynFOSTER 2014 Symposium on the Development of Young Human Resources was held. ( 2014/02/13 )


On Jan. 30, 2014, the "SynFOSTER 2014" Symposium on the Development of Young Human Resources was held at the Conference Hall.

A series of symposiums has been held since 2008 with the aim of gathering people responsible for human resource development programs on campus, toward enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration among business operators, in addition to familiarizing people on and off campus with Hokkaido University's efforts to develop excellent human resources.

◆Please register using the name of the course whose credit you need, depending on your graduate school. For credits to be recognized, you are required to participate in all three events: the Meeting of Akai-ito-kai, the Visit to Corporate Laboratories and the Seminar for Supporting the Diversification of Career Paths.
